As a retired neonatal nurse I think this claim infuriated me more than anything else he says. No doctor or nurse would execute a baby because the mother didn’t want it. Trump is apparently not intelligent enough to understand that sometimes an infant is born alive with a terminal condition. A choice has to be made whether to take the infant to the NICU isolated away from the parent and perform sometimes painful treatments to prolong their life for a few more hours or to wrap it up and place it in The mothers arms so she can spend those precious hours with the infant and love on it. The choice should be the mothers. Not the government. It is no different than a cancer patient making the decision to go on hospice care.

Anne, just not a cancer patient, or anyone going on hospice care, like my father (a retired MD, Princeton and Univ of PA graduate) did at 85 who was dying of complications from Parkinson's, and my mother who is 94.5 yo (a retired nurse, Univ of PA nursing school) who recently was actually was taken off hospice watch because she's all of a sudden she's doing better.
What I don't understand, is how anyone, can believe this. Where is published that babies are "executed" after birth? Where? Seriously, if Rs believe this, they truly are as deranged and sick as he is.

He does understand what he is saying, but politicizing such a painful experience for parents then accusing medical professionals of such a horrid act demonstrates his lack of character. It is beyond me that some people don’t see through this. We went to classes to learn how to help parents cope with their loss. We made gowns to dress the infant in. I’m afraid I take it a little too personally.

I agree Anne. I'm a quilter, and for years the guild I belonged to in AK, we made little quilts for families that'd lost a child in childbirth or after, before they left the hospital. I'm sure they still do it (I've since moved from AK). My mother lost 3 children to miscarriage between the rest of us 6 kids, I was a preemie, 3 lbs 6 oz, in an incubator 6 weeks in the 50s. I didn't walk until I was 2. Heck, my maternal grandmother almost died of a table top abortion in 1927, two years before my mother was born.
Project2025 has already legislated in many R states, here in ID with the full abortion restrictions, no allowance for rape or incest. Child marriage 12-14 yo girls is allowed in 47 states. To me, that's sanctioned/sanctioning rape.
Most Rs do not even stay abreast of any news, none. They have no idea what they'd/they'll be supporting with a 2nd DJT/Federalist Society Government.
